First, Information Revolution is not just a technological revolution. It should be regarded as an outcome of the interplay between technology and society. Second, changing social environment such as structural transitions may not be the end of the social informatization. Rather, changes in cultural, mental and institutional aspects are not less important than overt, external ones since they contribute more to activate the interface of technological system and social system. Finally, the information society cannot be taken as an independent civilization unit. Instead, the information society is considered as a precursor of the forthcoming convergence civilization or a civilization of transient category at best, that bridges the industrial civilization and the convergence civilization to come.
