아주대학교 정치외교학과 교수. University of California, Los Angeles(UCLA)에서 박사학위를 받았다. 저서로는 《Position versus Valence: Electoral Competitiveness, Policy Positions, and Representation Styles》(2009)가 있고, 논문으로는 〈The Paradox of Less Effective Incumbent Spending〉(2006), 〈Party Activists, Campaign Resources, and Candidate Position Taking in U.S. Senate Elections, 1974-2000〉(2004), 〈대의민주주의의 최적화 문제와 헌법 설계: 정치거래 이론과 적용〉(2007) 외 다수가 있다.
